Affirmation Wednesday: Bold Strength

The blogs this month will be affirmations for our souls designed to empower us a Christians. What is an affirmation? Affirmation can be defined as a statement or proposition that is declared to be true or the assertion that something exists or is true.

Ruth 1:11-18 (NIV): 11 But Naomi said, “Return home, my daughters. Why would you come with me? Am I going to have any more sons, who could become your husbands? 12 Return home, my daughters; I am too old to have another husband. Even if I thought there was still hope for me—even if I had a husband tonight and then gave birth to sons— 13 would you wait until they grew up? Would you remain unmarried for them? No, my daughters. It is more bitter for me than for you, because the Lord’s hand has turned against me!”14 At this they wept aloud again. Then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law goodbye, but Ruth clung to her.15 “Look,” said Naomi, “your sister-in-law is going back to her people and her gods. Go back with her.” 16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. 17 Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” 18 When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.

There is something to be said about standing your ground and not wavering on what you know to be right. Because she stood on what she knew was right for her, Ruth made a decision that impacted not only her life, but that of others around her.

Today’s affirmations …

I am created for a purpose that will not only change me but the winds around me.

I know that I can go boldly before the throne of grace so that when I fall, I will find grace and mercy.

Failure is not an option. Fear is not an option. Every struggle, every stronghold, every test is part of my testimony. They make me stronger.

I shall follow the Will of God all the days of my life knowing that His will is perfect for me.

I am battle ready for the storms of life. I know they are coming. I know that they will try to defeat me. But as the child David did, I will put on my armor and stand in the face of evil never wavering on my convictions.

I proclaim the gospel not just with my tongue but with my actions. My heart beats and with it a strength like I’ve never known comes upon me.

The blood still works, and I will decree it over my life at all times!

Be A Blessing and Not Just Blessed
