It's funny how often we ask things of God then we receive them and wonder if the blessings are truly ours. I've been asking for, praying for, been prophesied as receiving more than one blessing in my life. But, yet, when the blessing comes, fear sets in along with worry on being good enough to receive the blessing.
God makes no mistakes. His Word says "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). Yet, we let doubt creep in. Maybe there's a period of time between when His plans are revealed to you and the manifestation comes. Even with this, we need to learn to let our faith be planted in His Word never wavering or conditional. "He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does" (Psalm 1:3). Yield to God, to His wisdom.
If you want to know if it's God's plan or yours, check your reaction. I've been in situations where I knew God was at work and my knee jerk reaction was to run. Following that reaction, I ran right into the blessings of God after turbulent and stressful days. Now, I know when I have this reaction to stop, take a breathe, and ask God what He wants from me. I've learned how to stop running as I lean more and more on God's guidance for my life.
Tune your ear to His voice. Tune your heart to His way. Tune your body to do his bidding. Trusting in God means all the way. While many won't immediately (or always) do what He requires, know that in time, this trusting of Him becomes easier, swifter, and more complete with each passing day. I had a conversation with a friend the other day wherein he believes God gave us common sense to solve our problems. While I agree that we have common sense, I know that God wants to be part of every decision we make. He wants to be present in every decision, every thought. Trust Him to lead.
