Proverbs 18:16 (KJV) "16 A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men"
When I initially moved to Charlotte, I joined a new church and let me tell you, I felt out of place. Not because the church was teaching something wrong, but because it wasn't what I was use to. But, this was the church God directed me to. It wasn't until recently that while thinking back on this that I understood that I was still part of the body of Christ, just in a different organ that functioned differently but still with the purpose of edifying God. "2 There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12, NIV)"
God may do to you what He has done to me. Move you to another location. Not because you have done something wrong. Maybe its time for you to move. If we consider 1 Corinthians 12:12, we understand that the body of Christ is but one body. I laugh at people whom think that being Baptist, or Catholic, or Episcoplaian, or whatever. Here is the thing, we each should be operating under the direction of the Holy Spirit. Period. Man has determined how that looks. Here's what I mean. Catholics and Baptist both study the same bible. Yet, Catholic priests cannot get married while Baptist ministers can. So how did we get here - this division. For me, the answer is simple - man. Man (please note that I mean human beings when I say man) decided how the scriptures would be interpreted and emphasized. Did you know that at one time, a woman's worth was seen by some Catholic priests as less than an animals? Did you know that there are some Pastors that aren't truly called by God to preach His Word? Be careful where you go to study the Word. God calls for all of us to rightly divide the Word for ourselves through study (2 Timothy 2:15).
Here's what I know. Where ever God calls you to, its because He has a place for you there. Maybe He moves you from one job to the next. Ask Him what He wants of you in that new place and GO!!! God has already prepared the way. You just have to follow the yellow brick road.
