31 Day Inspiration - Day 24: Try Jesus

There are days when I think I've lost my mind. Days where I know I'm off track. I thank God that He loves me enough to accept my plea of forgiveness. We sometimes get so wrapped up in life that we stray from what is good, what is right, what is acceptable. I've had those days. So busy with life, that I don't take time to speak to God but in passing. This is an issue. I've treated my time with God as I would any human being. "I don't have time for you right now, I'll get back to you later."

I think the biggest issue with mankind is our lack of faith in ourselves thus our lack of faith in God. There are times when we don't think we can. Yet as Our Creator, God says that we can. We are then saying that there is a problem in His creation - us. God is not flawed. He created us the way we are to be. Now, let me give you a disclaimer here. It's up to us to take care of the vessel that He provided. If you are filled with hate and jealousy, then you have brought into His perfect blueprint items that He never designed to be part of it. If you decide to gossip and tear others down, then you are allowing the unruly organ to rule you instead of you ruling it. God gives us free will to choose. What are you choosing to store in His building?

The good thing, God loves us. He loves us so much that He gives us chance after chance to get it right. Ask the children of Israel. He wants us to come to Him with a pure heart, pure motives. When you go to God, you must speak the truth, not your version of the events. Speaking to God is like talking to the best confident ever!!!! When you speak to Him, He's better than any best friend you can find on earth. Jesus is, has always been, and will always be available to listen to you. Warning. Warning. Lies are easily detectable by the Son.

I use to hear the saints say try Jesus. I thought this was so cliché. But, the truth of the matter is - try Jesus. We will try anything and anyone else. Why not Jesus? Some will say that they've seen church folk lie. Well, baby, let me say this. There is a difference between church folk and Jesus. There is a difference between church folk and kingdom citizens. Church folk will lie, gossip, tear you down, hate, envy, and so much more. You truly can't tell the difference between church folk and non-church folk because they practice the same principles. However, try being in a church with Kingdom minded citizens. In a church where the gospel is taught, ate, breathed. Try reading the Word of God for yourself. (Yeah, the King James version is hard which is why there are other versions - The Message and New International Version (NIV) that are so much easier.) As crazy as it may sound, try a children's bible if you need to. Kingdom citizens, while still flawed, are striving for entrance into the kingdom. They don't have time to worry about your crazy stuff. They understand the parable of throwing stones when living in a glass house. Try Jesus baby, not people.
