31 Day Inspiration - Day 19: Accepting What We Know

"and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem." (Acts 9:2 NIV)

A couple of weeks ago, I was in Bible Study when the woman of God began to read Acts 9 and discussing the conversion of Saul. As she was reading, God brought my attention to Acts 9 and 2, particularly to Saul's (whom would become Paul) description of those he was seeking - any that belonged to the Way. Oh, I love me some Jesus.

In his acknowledgement of those that belonged to the Way, Paul actually acknowledged the Way - Jesus. How do I get here? When you are mad at someone, how do you acknowledge them? By their rightful name? Personally, I don't. I've seen times where I would call someone it, her, that thing but never by their name. Yet, Paul here acknowledged Jesus by how He had once called Himself - "I am the Way, the Truth, and The Life ...." (John 14:6). Somewhere in his soul, Paul knew that Jesus was the Way.

What do we know in our spirits about ourselves? What has God called for you to do? I'm not talking titles. I'm asking about your ministry. Has God called you to be part of the smile ministry bring sunshine to all that you smile upon? Maybe you are part of Helps, lending a hand to your fellow man where ever you go. Helping doesn't always have to be this big demonstrative thing. It can simply be reaching something for someone that is on a shelf that they can't reach. I am a ever so grateful of this type of helper. Whatever God has called for you, accept it. Trust me, life is so much easier going with His plan than against it.
