LEAN! LEAN!! LEAN!!!

As I sat at my desk listening to gospel music, I heard this song for the first time and it came out in 2015 - I Won't Let You Fall by Helen Miller. The lyrics spoke to something deep within me. The seeds of belief hit the foundation in my soul and a new breath of wind flowed through my spirit. Here is what I heard - "Jesus said if you lean on ME, I won't let you fall if you lean on ME. You don't have to worry if you lean on ME. I won't let you fall, promise not to let you fall." Then I read some of the comments below. This one woman testified how she had lost her husband and came home to an empty house. Something (the Holy Spirit is my guess) led her to turn on YouTube and this song popped up. She credits the song with getting her "....through that morning, that day, that night, that season of my life".

Listen, the Word is the Word. It is true today, tomorrow and forever more. His Words will never be null and void. They cannot be empty promises. They cannot be false witnesses of whom He is. His Words are pure truth. They are the gospel. The word gospel is derived from the Anglo-Saxon term god-spell, meaning “good story,” a rendering of the Latin evangelium and the Greek euangelion, meaning “good news” or “good telling.” (https://www.britannica.com/topic/Gospel-New-Testament). We as Christians always say that the Gospel is the Good News.

Well here is some good news. Leaning on Jesus doesn't make you weak. Leaning on the Word (In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God - John 1:1), makes us stronger. The Word was there in the beginning. The Word was, is and forever will be God, always present and waiting on us to come and commune with Him. Why not lean on the One that created the heavens and earth and everything under the sun? Our world gets so inundated with things. We get so bogged down in the day to day that we forget to lean. So, sit a spell as the elders use to say. Let everything sit and wait while you get what you need from Him. LEAN! LEAN!! LEAN!!!

Be A Blessing and Not Just Blessed
