Blessed Are....

Laying in bed this morning, asking God what He wanted me to know, He brought back to mind, the Beatitudes. They are described as the blessings of Jesus during the Sermon on the Mount. Wikipedia states that “each Beatitude consists of two phrases: the condition and the result” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beatitudes). This is where I rejoice. This further proves to me that even though I mourn, am persecuted, tried, lied on, shown no mercy, and treated with all manner of hurt, harm, and danger, this is not my outcome. I AM MORE than what you see, than what I see. My home is the kingdom of heaven, my peace is the Lord thy God, the One that quenches my thirst and satisfies my hunger. Do NOT allow your today to determine your tomorrow.

I heard on the news this morning that this 24-year-old garbage collector would begin law school in the fall. Blessed ARE those that take off all blinders enforced on them by this world and set their eyes on things of high knowing that from the hills cometh my help (Psalm 121:1). I speak that which I am. I am more than a conqueror through Him that loves me (Romans 8:37). If I am more than a conqueror than telling my fear to take a backseat to my faith is not unique but a part of every breath because I know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil. 4:13).

The Beatitudes (Matthew 5)

5 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: 2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you

Be A Blessing and Not Just Blessed
