A co-worker shared this with me. I don't know the author and neither did he, but I loved the sentiment and wanted to share it with you.
They may see the good you do as self serving. Continue to do good. They may see your generosity as grandstanding. Continue to be generous. They may see your warm and caring nature as a weakness. Continue to be warm and caring. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
No matter what anyone says or does, keep striving and seeking God. He tells us in Jeremiah 29:13 "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart". Let your heart not be troubled by the good that you do/say/believe even if others see it as something else.
When God gives you purpose, live it. When He gives you vision, see it. When He directs your path, walk it. Never let anyone or anything deter you for the plans He has for you (Jeremiah 29:11). While people can say and do things, it is always our choice what to allow to be planted in our spirit. We can reject that which is not of God, that meant to stop the rivers running through you like the Nile. When they swing the ax of doubt, we can move out of the way. Don't let another's fear impede you. Be the person God called you to be and be your best self!!!
