Relationships take time

I took my great nephew to pre-school the other morning. It was truly a delight to drive him. He loves to talk and I am grateful that he likes spending time with me. Spending time together. What a wonderful notion. It seems these days that everyone is so busy with their lives that that we forget that time matters. I dated a man I truly cared for some years ago. We saw each other 2-3 times a week for a quick lunch or dinner. This was fine in the beginning. As the relationship progressed, I wanted more time and he was fine with the way things were. This became a constant battle that helped end the relationship. My feelings were (and still are) that if you don't put time in, no relationship can grow. Our God is a jealous God. He wants our time too. He wants us to willingly spend time with Him, to communicate with Him. By studying the Word of God, we learn more about Him and His desires for our lives. We begin to stress less and trust more. How can you follow, trust, believe in, love a God that you don't know? Give Him your time and He will show you the majesty of the world instead of the ugliness that we see with our natural eyes each day.

Revelations 3:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
