Perspective.....

Jehovah-Jireh the Lord provides. It is amazing to me that we as a people don't see the provisions of God. We always want more. More money, more time, more things, more space, more people around us.....more, more, more. But what would happen if we actually took the time and used what God gave us? What would happen if we used the resources around us and the time that God has given us wisely? What would happen if we actually realize that 7 degrees of separation is not just a novelty or something that people have made up? If you want to write a book, make a hit record (and actually have the natural ability to do so), produce music or films, I don’t know, stand on your head and learn how to do a cartwheel, all we would have to do is open ourselves to the possibilities that our lives are not limited to what we see.

A couple of years ago, I was watching Bishop TD Jakes on television with Oprah. He was speaking of his book and a particular section on perspectives caught my attention. He gave this illustration of 2 animals in the forest. One a giraffe and the other a turtle. He explained that a turtle couldn't see what the giraffe could see because his vision was limited. But, the giraffe could see high above the trees. 2 different views of the same situation. Bishop said something that has stuck with me - Don't allow a turtle to tell you what you see if you are a giraffe.

I could be in a room full of people or reared in the same home with 3 different people, and we would all have different interpretations of the same event. Perspective. What is your perspective on who you are? What is your perspective on what has already been provided for you? There's a song...if the Lord doesn't do anything else, He's done enough. Has He really? Or are we still asking for things, people (husbands or wives or friends or family members to come into our lives)? What will you do with what Jehovah Jireh has already given you? It is a waste to not use that which has been naturally given.
